Medical Cases

This page lists and details our current medical cases that are sadly well, outside of the normal ailments and wellness checks that all kitties receive.  some cases are very difficult, life threatening, or permanent disabilities that our kitties have that we are caring for.

Hansel

Little Hansel was found with sibling, scared and sick.  We immediately took them to our vet and  they were diagnosed with a severe upper respiratory infection, eye infection, emaciated, and anemic due to fleas and parasites.  His sibling, Gretel passed the next day.  Hansel, got a lot better but his eye infection would not go away.  3 different antibiotic  treatments, eye drops and ointments.  It has now been determined that his eye will have to be removed once he is big enough.

We have set up a fundraiser for him and 2 others with serious eye infections that are not healing.

Thaddeus & Miracle

There is simple no way to describe the horrible cruelty these babies, the sole survivors of a vicious attack on their little family.  Their momma and her 4 kittens were trapped in a cage and then shot for simply being there.  Their momma and one kitten passed in that cage while the remaining three were left to suffer.  A young girl freed the 3 injured and her family contacted us.  We had them vetted as soon as possible but one sibling, Angel had to be humanely euthanized because her injuries were too severe and we could not let her continue to suffer.

Thaddeus, a little boy at 7 weeks old suffered a nasty laceration to his face and his sister, Miracle had a wound to her leg.

Currently, they are both healing beautifully and we are working with them daily so that they know not all people are evil.

Criminal charges are pending.

Mango

Peaches and Mango were dumped on someone's property and later found with large wounds on their head and ears, and both had eye and respiratory infections.

Both girls had wounds in the same locations but Peaches wounds were a lot deeper. Unfortunately, Peaches started to not respond to the medications and her little body could not fight off the infection.

Mango is doing very well

Baby Theo

Baby Theo was found after he fell from someone's car.  His eyes were infected and he was very underweight.  A few weeks later despite aggressive medical treatment, he did have to undergo emergency surgery to remove the infected eye.  Currently he is in recovery and doing very well!

Ozzy Pawsbourne

Ozzy was a owned pet that lived outdoors.  He came one day severely injured.  It was discovered that he had been shot and his leg was shattered and had  to be amputated.  His previous owner surrendered because he could no longer be an outdoor cat, and she was unable to have him inside.

Ozzy is fully recovered, completed vetted and ready for adoption!

Our Flower Girls

Meet Mama Lily and her little flower girls!  Iris is the calico, Petunia the little tuxedo girl, and Daffodil if the little grey diluted calico.   And sadly, we lost little Buttercup.

At about 4 weeks they started showing neurological signs of illness.   After testing for other ailments, they have been diagnosed with Cerebral Hypoplasia.  This usually happens when the mother is in contact with Pan Leukemia during pregnancy but doesn't present itself until around 4-5 weeks.

Petunia, she seems perfectly fine.  Iris is mild but little Daffodil is more between Moderate to Severe.  There is no cure or treatment, their brains simply don't fully develop.  THEY CAN STILL LIVE LONG FULL LIVES, they just need a bit of extra assistance to avoid injury because of their mobility disabilities.
