Medical Cases

This page lists and details our current medical cases that are sadly well, outside of the normal ailments and wellness checks that all kitties receive.

We try to keep website updated but for the most up to date cases see our Facebook page.

Some cases are very difficult, life threatening, or permanent disabilities that our kitties have that we are caring for.

Our Medical Cases

Rumble

Rumble  was surrendered after a failed adoption of over 2 years.  He was taken to the vet and is now hospitalized in critical condition.  We don't have a lot answers as to how he got into this state but right now we are fighting to save his life.  When he arrived at the vet he was severely emaciated, dehydrated, anemic, so weak that he could not even stand up and he has a respiratory and eye infection.  The original bloodwork is all over the place and will be repeated next week as the vet works to stabilize him.

Jax

Jax and his sister, Marbles were found by a good Samaritan in a dumpster.  Although, his sister is thriving and is now ready for adoption, Jax struggles with his weight and reoccurring respiratory infections.  He is the most loving and affectionate little boy and to be so tiny, this boy sure can pack away some food.

Eenie, Meanie, & Minney

Eenie, Meanie & Minney arrived way too young to be without their mother.  Despite the best efforts of their foster mom and our vet, Meanie is the only survivor.  He has now had 2 very promising wellness, checks and seems to be thriving now.  Just a few more as he grows and weighs enough for his neuter surgery.

Mr. Orange

Mr. Orange is a new arrival.  He was part of a stray colony but came up one morning with serious wounds to his face.  He will have his injuries treated and then appropriate vetting and neuter.  Mr. Orange is a complete love bug!

Cinder

Cinder was found barely a day old.  We call him our little Panther.  He is getting older but he is significantly smaller than others his age... this image (12/08/25) is is 28 weeks old... 6 1/2 months old and weighs 2 lbs 3 oz.  He also has reoccuring respiratory infections.  Otherwise he acts his age, super playful affectionate and absolutely fearless.

Hansel

Little Hansel was found with sibling, scared and sick.  We immediately took them to our vet and  they were diagnosed with a severe upper respiratory infection, eye infection, emaciated, and anemic due to fleas and parasites.  His sibling, Gretel passed the next day.  Hansel, got a lot better but his eye infection would not go away.  3 different antibiotic  treatments, eye drops and ointments.  It has now been determined that his eye will have to be removed once he is big enough.

We have set up a fundraiser for him and 2 others with serious eye infections that are not healing.

Patsy

A call came in...

...sweet kitten abandoned outdoors some time ago. She showed up, and they had been feeding her and others... her eye is missing from fighting and now all the males keep fighting her...

I can't imagine the pain she endured while her eye was injured and ruptured so badly. We've had so many horribly infected eyes and injuries this year and I know it was painful for them even while being treated by a vet. This sweet girl had to do it alone while fighting just to stay alive. And she continued to fight for her survival as ber body healed on its own for quite some time. Even after all she endured, this little girl is just the sweetest

We couldn't bear to see her suffer any longer, so last night, she arrived at Clover's Clubhouse. We have named her Patsy.

 Theo

Baby Theo was found after he fell from someone's car.  His eyes were infected and he was very underweight.  A few weeks later despite aggressive medical treatment, he did have to undergo emergency surgery to remove the infected eye.  Currently he still has recurring infections in his remaining eye and has a lot of scarring and loss of most of his eyesight.  Despite his disabilities, he remains the sweetest most loving playful boy!

Our Flower Girls

Meet Mama Lily and her little flower girls!  Iris is the calico, Petunia the little tuxedo girl, and Daffodil if the little grey diluted calico.   And sadly, we lost little Buttercup.

At about 4 weeks they started showing neurological signs of illness.   After testing for other ailments, they have been diagnosed with Cerebral Hypoplasia.  This usually happens when the mother is in contact with Pan Leukemia during pregnancy but doesn't present itself until around 4-5 weeks.

Petunia, she seems perfectly fine.  Iris is mild but little Daffodil is Severe.

UPDATE:

Mama Lilly and Iris have both been adopted and are thriving in their new homes!  Petunia is now ready for adoption.
